John’s career in interactive media design began in 1995, when he was hired to play video games and then design CD-ROMs to teach others how to win the game. His career then transitioned into business-focused websites and applications, and has worked with many Fortune 500 companies and large not for profit organizations.
John believes there is a simple and streamlined approach for every complex problem. He approaches each project with the user’s goals in mind first in order to create a solution that is effective and meets the needs of his client’s business.
John is a UX designer at his core. He loves to collaborate with his team and clients to create new approaches to complex systems. His primary areas of focus are Information Architecture, Interface design and technical strategy as well as usability research and user experience strategy. He particularly enjoys designing large transactional applications that have many layers of functionality.
John is a foodie. He loves to eat, cook and explore modernist cuisine. He is an avid runner and cyclist and enjoys spending summer weekends at his cabin in Wisconsin fishing. He is currently on the board of directors at The Children’s Cancer Research Fund.
